You owe it too yourself to go see the World of Outlaws winged sprint cars if they get anywhere near you. I've seen a lot of different kinds of racing, and you will not get a better show anywhere.
If you aren't familiar with the cars, they have 900hp, a 96" wheelbase, weigh 1400lbs with the driver, and have a giant honkin' wing on top. I just got back from seeing them in Wilmont, WI. What a fantastic race!
The potato pics are worthless, so I won't bother. I did get Steve Kinser to sign my hat from when he ran the '97 Indy 500.

I totally and completely agree. I've seen them in person twice and they are awesome. The sound they make when they takeoff for the green flag is addictive.

Everybody talks about the most dominating drivers in motorsport and they always seem to forget Kinser.

Yeah it really is. I love sitting by turn 1. You get to watch them haul ass down the front straight, fling the car sideways, see the tires try and rip themselves off the rims, its incredible.

Yeah, its crazy how many races he's won. He was a really nice guy too.
